I would like an alphabetical index incorporated in the pdf manual please. it can be very difficult finding a specific item in the book without it!

I need annual repeating events in monthly calendars. It's too much effort to add them each year. So I won't be using Simply Calendars. Thanks for the trial period.
<Rick>
LA, USA - 26 June 2008 at 05:29:22
After adding events, then if you simply advance the year, the events will be retained in the following year - it's as simple as that.
As this is a calendar publisher, events are added for the year of the calendar - not for a specific year (eg 2008)

I use the programme since 2004. The only thing I miss is a one page 12 month calender with week numbers.

it would be great if the "extra text" sould automatically wrap, and fit within the gridlines of the calender, and also, I use this as a business calendar, and I REALLY NEED to be able to change text color on different text entries on the same date to distinguish different events on the same day!! Thanks!!

It would be nice to have a page setup option. This would allow one to make a temporary print properties change without changing default properties.

My HP printer allows for draft mode, which is my default print quality. When printing a calendar I would like to change it to a better quality print.

<arabinda pradhan>
new delhi, india - 18 January 2008 at 13:56:43
Actually, I have a question as a possible purchaser of this software.

Does it contain a template for a perpetual daily calendar (4" x 6" or smaller) to sit on it's own card board stand on a desk? I am referring to one that is spiral bound on the top and is meant to contain 185 pages or so such that at the end of June one would flip it over and go through the next six months on the opposing pages? I am looking to print some for a church fund raising project and would really appreciate a template to work with. If not, does anyone know of a template like that? It seems really hard to format from scratch and print a bunch.

Better support for larger images. Most digital cameras do produce larger files. I had to resize my images to load them.

I do love the product

Your software is great. Its so simple to use I wished you had
a version I could put in a kiosk for my customers to build
their own calendar.
Another suggestion is a series of templates or a way of adding more then
three pictures a page. Keep up the good work.

Would it be possible to:
a) Print sunrise and sunset times on ony one day of each week?
b) Change ALL fonts in the calendar with one setting?
(Only had this program a day, and it's just great!)

<Ian Barclay>

b) is now implemented in v4.91
Travelling thru the Philippines lately I came across a large format calendar that printed the time of the tides above and below the day of the month. WXtides has a free program the covers datums for just about the entire planet and I thought it might be an appealing challenge (for you, that is) to somehow combine the two.

Would it be possibal to make all of the year planner calendars so they could be able to start at any month. The only one I see that I can do this with, I can't add a picture to, this would really help, as I could make calendars year-round. GREAT PRODUCT!!!! THANKS GK

"--" option in suppressing dates to also suppress font colour.

Another one. Great to be able to import national holidays, but there are often regional holidays which replace some national events. Here in Australia, the "Queen's Birthday" is a public holiday (we're not a republic yet ...) but is held on different days in different states. Easy to add this as a custom event on the different day, and to suppress the national day text with "--". But the highlight for the national holiday remains. Empty cell with a red (or whatever)date highlight remains.

<Ian McCauley>
Melbourne, Australia - 11 December 2006 at 20:23:45
This is actually possibly with v4.7.
Highlight the unwanted red date with a highlight using standard font colour

Love the product. Congratulations. What options are available for including a short piece of text under each backcover thumbnail? I don't use the caption text on the main photo, as I use full page photos in duplex calendars, and I think the captions are ugly intrusions. Anyhow it does not appear that the caption is printed on the thumbnail. However, some explanatory text about each photo might be nice, and the Backcover would be a good place.

If this is not currently an option - could it be added? Might be an option for at the point of adding the current caption, or perhaps thumbnails could be printed with the filename (less extension) which could then contain the caption.

Very impressing program – keep going

It would be really nice if the templates were a bit more flexible so the different elements could be moved around. For example I have a wish very close the template '3 month B' exactly the same elements but with the title at left and the two minicalendars at right.
see http://www.corporateangels.com/smartdraw-7-photo-calender.html

In the future it would be cool if the templates could be specified in a kind of xml language, so it was possible to create user defined templates that could be shared.

Lewisville, USA - 08 November 2006 at 01:43:27
I think you've done an excellent job in making simply calendar the easiest program of it's kind. The only two things I can think of that would greatly improve it is:
1. A better front page option/ edit capability with better design options.
2. A better way if inserting small graphics into a day spot on the monthly calendars. As it is now, it is hard to select a picture for resizing when it goes behind the grid. Perspective is also a problem if photo is not proportionally correct. Again thanks for a fantastic program.

<Robert Perreault>
Horn Lake, MS., USA - 18 October 2006 at 17:54:10
programme that I'm having a lot of fun with! Any chance of an additional template for CD calendars? Like the slim calendars (2 to a page) but square instead. I've tried exporting and resizing, but the CD calendars are square and so it doesn't quite work.
<Claire McPartlin>
Aylesbury, UK - 17 September 2006 at 13:55:22
See new "Single Wide Column" in v4.7. Try experimenting with margins and paper sizes.
"Large Print"calendar also works well for CD jewel box calendars

I love Simply Calenders! There is one change that I would like to see and that is having standard printer control. The ability to change media type and color settings without having to change the default settings for the printer would save me an enormous amount of time (as well as misprints when I forget to make the necessary changes!)

Agree, but this is technically difficult without writing program from scratch using a different programming language
Excellent product, I've used similar products for a few years now and find Simply Calenders very functional. Although I want you to implement following functionality in upcoming releases:
- Possibility to add small numeric monthly views/calendars (last and next)on the full page month calendar planner.
- Possibility to change "style" for grids, for example to rounded corners.
- Quick styles for the differens calendars for different layouts & colors within for example the monthly calendar planner (modern, classic, sunset, sport etc)

Good luck with the future releases.

Yes but not high priority
in other calendar products and my main reason for buying this product. However I really would like it to be an option of the other normal calendars, so more layout choices would be available. Therefore my real wish is to have more birthday calendar layouts.

We love the Simply Calenders package - this is the second year running we have used it to create calendars for our family. Thanks!

To be able to add text to the 'back' page of thumbnail photos would be really great. It would add that professional finish to a great gift calendar(eg photo locations, special message, production date etc). I am thinking along the lines of being able to duplicate what can be done with 'additional text' on the Front Page.
Many thanks for the great Christmas Present you and I are giving friends this year!! :-)

All fonts can currently be resized

to be able to add custom fonts,maybe I missed this but did
not think it was possible.

On adding pictures (in days) it seems to cover up text it would be nice if one could set picture either behind or text in front, not sure it's possible with this(layers)
also one more option for text for colors and fonts.
if one selects to add holidays etc it seems to be the same text color as the text one adds.
on the added holiday text it seems "fixed" so maybe if you can not add layers you could add the ability of being able to move the text up or down.
Thank YOu and I won't bother you any more.

Tacoma, USA - 27 September 2005 at 10:03:53
Skerryvore Software:
1)  You can use ANY  installed font for that "character set" eg Western
2) "Layer" technology not currently used  - so would be significant piece of work to implement this
3)  noted
4)  Date related text - unlikely to implement moveable text for date anchored text ( but you can add blank rows)

1)Resizable templates for making small desktop calenders.
(I think I seen some that you can but most you can't it seems.)
2)To have week numbers before (outside) Days.I did see this in FAQ but it would be nicer if the program allow one to do this.
3)Export in other formats bmp,and or jpeg, or export certain pages instead of all pages.
Able to add/customize borders.
4)Change colors Outside of monthly (month)it seems one can not change any of this except using colored paper.
5)Having just a simple "print" option.

Thank You,seems like one of the best program I could find if one could format more colors and add more desktop (mini) calanders or be able to resize all calanders this would be a big bonus in my book, also it would be nice if one could right click on calander to change fonts,colors,text would make things move a lot faster.I know this is dealing with templets and many objects so maybe I'm requesting to much but just thought I'd give it a mention.
Thank You again for your time and program .

I bought a the software for Simply Calenders from you (downloaded from the web)about a year or so ago (I read about it in Digital Foto) and subsequently corresponded quite alot with Peter (I am sorry but I cannot remember his surname). Unfortuneately we had an armed robbery at our home and my computer was stolen together with a lot of other things. I am asking you very kindly if I could possibly get another copy of the software without repaying the fee.
I look forward to hearing from you.

1. More print controls: From-to pages, etc. What if I want to reprint only one page to correct a mistake?

2. Why did you hide the printing options dialog? Why I have to restart the program if I want to change paper-quality setting?
It would be nice if you would first launch standard print options dialog (provided by printer driver) and pick up all settings from it. In this case such things like borderless printing would be available.

Saving as Web Calendar HTML always requires a new dir. Like to be able to choose (browse?) and/or overwrite previous one.

Apply this image to all works from front cover to others but not others to front cover. I think I see why.

Room for individual sponsors ads (eg banner ads) at bottom of each page.

To get rid of horizontal and vertical lines (the grid) on the month days, I choose Layout/Line Style Colour (white). Now, if there is a "proper" way, I keep missing it. My concern is if I send it as a PDF, and they print on coloured paper. Will the grid appear?

It would be nice to have a user default box to check to enable user defined fonts to be used when ticked.
An excellent programme,and very prompt and helpful service provided by Peter FAY

Add Japanese to your list of languages. It would be nice to have a choice of kana (the phonetic script) and kanji (the Chinese characters). The former, of course, can be added as a custom language.
Great program, Peter!
