This is an integrated image editor which allows you to

• Edit and adapt pictures and photos
• Apply Special Effects to pictures and photos
• Draw pictures

The Darkroom opens and edits the original image files.
If you wish to keep the original file intact, then Save As to a new file name.

Files may be opened and saved in JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG, TIFF and RLE (compressed bmp) formats.

WMF and ICO Files may also be opened but can only be saved in above formats.

(1st page of) PDF files may also be opened but can only be saved in above formats.

The Darkroom may be used simply to retouch existing photo or used to produce creative effects.
